President Tinubu Sets Up Technical Committee On Consumer Credit

President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government of Nigeria has established a Technical Working Committee aimed at enhancing Consumer Credit.

The committee led by the Minister of Finance, Mr Olawale Edun, assisted by Minister of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy,  Dr ‘Bosun Tijani has been assigned a five-month timeline to achieve various objectives, including promoting inclusivity and improving access to finance.

Additionally, the committee seeks to address issues of corruption to foster economic growth.

To achieve these goals, the committee will focus on developing a policy framework, harmonizing data, and enhancing both institutional and legal frameworks.

Other members of the committee including Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, Minister of Trade and Investment, and Mr. Zaach Adedeji, Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS among others.
