Lagos Sports Commission DG, Fatodu Encourages Mass Participation In Archery

The Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission LSSC, Lekan Fatodu joined international archer, Emmanuel Oyeleke in the demonstration of the skills and tactics involved in Archery.
He also called for the mass participation in the sport that focus on determination and dedication.
“It was a fascinating experience trying archery for the first time today with renowned international archer and medalist, Emmanuel Oyeleke, and the incredible team at Zen Archery.
“Archery is a sport rapidly gaining traction in Nigeria. Trying it out and learning the basics of the sport was an enriching experience that provided me with technical knowledge and insight into the art and sport of archery”.
Fatodu stressed that Lagos State Sports Commission is committed to supporting the growth and development of archery, aiming to transform it into a mass-participating sport in Lagos. This resonates with the commitment and vision of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to diversify sports in Lagos, bring out the best in sporting events and support rising stars like Emmanuel.
He encouraged everyone to consider trying archery, saying It’s a spectacular sport offering a unique blend of physical and mental challenge within a recreational and stimulating environment.
The Zen Archery Open Championship will take place at the main bowl of the Teslim Balogun Stadium from Saturday, March 9th to Sunday, March 10th, 2024.
