A couple, James Umanah, 31 and his wife, Michelle Umanah, 26, has been arrested in Lagos State for allegedly gang-raping an 18-year old girl in threesome sex romp after overwhelming her with romance and she became confused.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the couple allegedly lured the victim to their apartment at Oje Olorunfemi Street, Igando area of Lagos, seduced her by fondling and sucking her breasts. In the process, the girl got overwhelmed, confused and was unable to resist them as she was stripped naked.

The wife, Mrs. Michelle, was said to have then brought out a toy penis and penetrated her private part in order to satisfy her sexual desires while the husband, James, penetrated her also to his satisfaction before they allowed the girl to go.

The victim later regained her senses and  realized that she had been raped by the couple. She became angry, went to the Police at Igando Division and reported how the couple gang-raped her after luring her to their apartment.

The Police moved into action, arrested the couple and detained them at the station for interrogation. The Police as well recovered the toy penis, which the wife used to penetrate her.

After interrogation, the Police found them culpable and charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for conspiracy, sexual assault and statutory rape under the Criminal Laws of the State.

The Court did not take their plea after the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the nature of the offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Ex. Kubenije, ordered their remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.

The matter was adjourned till 26th June, 2024, for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
