BREAKING: Lowo Oyediran’s Murder: Wife Bags 7 Years For Manslaughter

The Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan on Monday sentenced to seven years imprisonment for manslaughter Yewande Oyediran, who has been standing trial for allegedly killing her husband, Lowo Oyediran after a fight between them at their Ibadan home.

Justice Munta Abimbola, delivering judgement on the case, said the manslaughter submission was admitted because it was a marital squabble and not premeditated.

29-year-old Yewande Oyediran (nee Fatoki), a lawyer with the Oyo State Ministry of Justice, was convicted of causing the death of her 38 years old husband, Lowo, after counsels in the matter adopted their final written addresses.

The convict was accused of killing her husband, Lowo on February 2, 2016 in their residence at Ayegoro area of Iyana Church, Ibadan.
