A 50-year old man, Alfred Abiodun, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly luring a 14-year old girl away from her parents and keeping her for three days sex romp.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the man, Abiodun, has been arrested and charged before the Court for abduction and defilement under the Criminal Laws of the State.
The incident happened on 28th July, 2024, in Agric area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police,  the suspect abducted the victim, kept her in the place and engaged her in sex whereas her parents thought that another thing had happened to her and reported to the Police that she was missing.
However, when she was eventually released after the romp, she went home and told her parents what happened and how the suspect lured and kept her in captivity for sex.
The matter was reported to the Police and the suspect was arrested. From there, he was transferred to the Gender Section of the State Police Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
However, the Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 3rd October, 2024, for mention for the report of the DPPs advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
