Female Native Doctor Arrested For Killing 3 Victims Over Witchcraft

Police operatives from the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested a 30-year old female native doctor, Celestina Bala, for allegedly killing three victims over suspicion of being involved in witchcraft in Adamawa State.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Kwa Village in Lamurde Local Government area of the State, where the suspect resides.

 

She was alleged to have connived with others and tortured tortured to death the victims identified as Lazarus Bashiru, Galion Isa, and Ajasko Yakubu, whom they had accused of witchcraft.

 

According to the Police, the suspect, who claimed to be a native doctor revealed that the victims were practicing witchcraft and held them to confess. But when they denied, she conspired with others now at large, tortured them and they died in the process.

 

The matter was reported to the Police, who promptly arrested her.

This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya, Nguroje, who stated that the suspect is in custody undergoing interrogation over her alleged conduct.

 

The image maker explained that the suspect was arrested on 14th September, 2024, by operatives of the Command attached to Tigno Divisional Headquarters after the Police received the report of the alleged murder.

Nguroje said that the incident was earlier reported to the Police by Dogara Sabon Reza and Jeri Dogara, saying that the woman conspired with others to torture and kill the victims.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Moris Dankwambo, has ordered for thorough investigation on the matter and the suspects involved in the matter should be charged before the Court for the alleged offence.
