A 31-year old man,  Idowu Adebowale, is now lying critically ill at an undisclosed hospital after his angry 28-year old wife, Yemisi Ogunlana, used a sharp object to inflict a cut on his dick during a squabble in Ogun State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Oko-Oba area of Ogijo, Ogun State, where they reside.
Police operatives from the Ogun State Command have arrested and detained her for attempted murder and she is currently undergoing interrogation over her alleged conduct.
This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, who said that the suspect was in custody pending the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
The image maker stated that the suspect, Yemisi Ogunlana, was reported to the Police at the Ogijo Division of the Command at about 5:15 pm. on Monday for allegedly cutting her husband’s dick during an argument.
She stated:
“A 31-year old man, named Idowu Adebowale, from the Oko-Oba area of Ogijo, came to the Police station and stated that on October 15 at 4:30 am his wife, 28-year-old Ogunlana Yemisi, used a sharp object to severely injure his dick during a minor disagreement”.
“He showed the officers the injury, revealing a significant cut near the tip of his penis.
“But given the severity of the injury and the length of time the complainant had not sought medical help, he was provided with a medical form and advised to go to the hospital,” she said.
Odutola noted that the suspect is currently in custody and that the case will be transferred to the SCID in Abeokuta for further investigation.
Meanwhile, she attributed the suspected cause of the incident to uncontrolled anger, which led to domestic violence.
The suspect may likely be charged before the Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
