Iyom Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu (Anyanwu Ututu): The Solution To Nigeria’s Foreign Image Albatross 

This singular appointment indeed proves that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, is dedicated towards repositioning Nigeria to its rightful place among the league of nations, a feat which has eluded past presidents for sometime now as there is none other, perfectly suited for that role, than Anyanwu Ututu herself.

With an impeccable list of diplomatic achievements and antecedents, it was a surprise that former president, Muhammad Buhari refused to follow the footsteps of his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan who had appointed Iyom Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu (Anyanwu Ututu) as the Ambassador of Nigeria to Spain, on assumption of office in Spain, she displayed her brilliance and intelligence, as she carried out her assignments, which many had thought would be too overwhelming for her, with uncommon ease which inevitably endeared her to a lot of people and in no time, she received awards for her worthy deeds across the globe.

Anyanwu Ututu was honoured with the Certificate of Merit by El Mundo Diplomatico, Spain for her efforts towards providing effective platforms for constructive engagement between Nigeria and Spain. On October 17, 2014, she was honoured with the prestigious award of, African Most Outstanding Ambassador in the Diaspora 2014 in Netherlands by the Voice of Achievers. The Voice Magazine Annual Award Ceremony is one of the most prestigious and highly rated awards in Europe used to recognize and honour African Achievers and Friends of Africa, who have distinguished and proven themselves in their areas of calling for the advancement of their countries, Africa and humanity at large. Anyanwu Ututu was also honored with the “Ambassador of Excellence” Award by the Government of Anambra State, Nigeria at its Silver Jubilee commemoration in 2016 for her undying patriotism, excellent diplomatic contributions and her outstanding ambassadorial capacity for Anambra State and Ndi Igbo worldwide.

The Ministry of Foreign of Affairs (MFA) is the statutory department of the Federal Government of Nigeria charged with the responsibility for the formulation, articulation, and pursuit of Nigerian foreign policy trust and objectives so it’s easy to see why Her Excellency, Iyom Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu (Anyanwu Ututu) is the perfect fit for that position especially at this time that the foreign image and perception of Nigeria is in tatters with the ongoing bilateral relations brouhaha with nations like UAE, maltreatment of Nigerians across Europe, America and Africa as well as unrest within the Nation, still unresolved, such delicate situations need the intelligence, finesse and mental acumen of a proven winner whose aura exudes articulation, eloquence and unshakable knack for getting things done and there’s is none other that possess all these except Her Excellency, Iyom Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu (Anyanwu Ututu).
