3rd Ogun Women Run Holds Dec. 7

The 3rd edition of the Ogun Women Run will come up at the Ogun State capital city of Abeokuta, Ogun State, southwest Nigeria on 7th December, 2024.

According to the Managing Director of Brussels Sports Management Limited, the organisers of the 5 kilometer Run, Mr. Seyi Johnson, the female-oriented road race comes up on December 7, 2024, with a lot of new innovations in 5km races in Nigeria.

Seyi Johnson declared that the race routes have been retained with a lot of lively activities as the runners moves through routes.

He noted that arrangements are in top gear in ensuring that this edition becomes a reference point in 5km races in the country.

“We had a plan when the journey started, we have achieved a whole lot, but we know we can always come up with mouthwatering initiatives in different areas.

“Come 7th December, Ogun State women will have another opportunity to have a shot at doing something different from what they are used to.

“Remember, the race itself, apart from the fantastic prize incentives that comes with it, the race is also out to create healthy living as well as bonding among women of the state, so once again, let’s come together and make this happen.”

The 5Km Race will flag off at Sapon, and it will finish at the MKO Abiola stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.

The race it is opened to women runners between ages 25 and 60 years.
