Earlier today, the Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Professor Obiora Okonkwo, OFR, was in Umuanuka Otolo Nnewi to bid farewell and pay his last respects to his dear friend and esteemed ally in both politics and business, the late Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, CON.

Senator Ubah was far more than a politician; he was a man of extraordinary character—unique, compassionate, and deeply committed to the well-being of others. A devoted father and husband, he dedicated his life to serving God and humanity with unmatched zeal.

Through his philanthropy, tireless dedication, and visionary leadership, he transformed countless lives, leaving an indelible legacy of hope and impact.

His life demonstrated what is possible when creativity and compassion are brought into leadership and service to the people. Since his transition, we have read and heard numerous glowing tributes to his memory, each underscoring his uncommon generosity and selflessness. He was a man whose resources were always available to those in need, and his home a sanctuary for anyone seeking help.

Senator Ubah was a simple yet profound gentleman who practiced politics with an open heart and mind. His political influence transcended party lines, uniting people across divides.

From his humble beginnings as an apprentice to his rise as a business mogul and political leader, Senator Ubah remained steadfast in his service to his people, Anambra State, and Nigeria. He exemplified selflessness and generosity, and his memory will forever inspire those who knew him.

Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of kindness, vision, and humanity will live on in our hearts and in the lives he touched. Rest in peace, Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
