“During the last protests, AIG Fayoade was also on ground for the 10 days the protest lasted at Ikeja and Ojota providing water and food for protesters which helped greatly in preventing the protests from degenerating into burning, looting and destructions of properties. We thanked IGP Egbetokun for his foresight in retaining AIG Fayoade in Lagos to continue to manage crisis and fight criminality in lagos,” Okoro added.

Mr. Oluwayomi Ganiu, a resident of Ikorodu, stated, “I am appealing to other Police officers to emulate the characteristics of AIG Fayoade by always making themselves available during crisis so as to prevent damages to properties and that if not the clever way AIG Fayoade managed the last protests in Lagos, it would have degenerated into violence. The way the AIG managed the crises in Lagos have changed the mind sets of millions of Lagosians about Police operations and embrace the Slogan, ‘Police is our friend ‘, Ganiu stated.
