Wheelbarrow Pusher In Trouble Over Death Of Female Lover

A wheelbarrow pusher, simply identified as Peter, from Benue State, has been arrested by Police detectives from Nkpolu Police Division in Mile 3, Diobu, Rivers State, over the death of his female lover, simply identified as Mummy, from Ogoni area of Rivers State.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the female lover, who deals on Okro at Bishop Okoye Line in Mile 3 Market, had visited Mr. Peter in his house located behind a filling station at Ikwerre Road opposite Bishop Okoye Street, Mile 3 Diobu, on Thursday night 28th November, 2024, to pass the night.

 

It was gathered that Mr. Peter suddenly raised alarm in the early hours of the morning on Friday 29th November, 2024, which attracted his neighbours who discovered that the woman has died. The neighbours then alerted the Police, who came to the scene for on-the-spot assessment, arrested Peter and retrieved the corpse of the female lover.

 

The cause of the woman’s death could not be ascertained immediately.

The Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko, confirmed the incident.

 

SP Koko said, “The suspect has been arrested and investigation ongoing”.
