Siju Iluyomade Displays Kindness, Support Sickle Cell Foundation, Rebecca’s Room For Virtually Impaired
It was an electrifying atmosphere on Tuesday 17 December 2024 at the Sky Lounge of Eko Hotel & Suites when the Happy Family Fellowship led by Pastor Idowu Iluyomade and Dr Siju Iluyomade puts up a spectacular Christmas Carol show tagged Vintage Christmas.
The event which witnessed lots of prominent Nigerians to celebrate the carol night with The Family, featured Concert, Dinner and Charity Ball, as Arise Women Convener, Dr Siju in her regular kindness made support to two Non-Governmental Organizations very dear to her heart.
While making the presentation of One Million Naira to the representative of the Sickle Cell Foundation, Mrs Iluyomade Urges guests at the event to also support the Foundation.
“There is treatment for patients living with Sickle Cell, what they need is the support and we all must give them a chance to live by contributing to people that have dedicated their lives to taking care of them, there’s a bone marrow transplant in Nigeria now, so genotypes are changed from SS to AA,” she said.
Dr Siju, as she’s fondly called, also made a donation of N1 million to Rebecca’s Room for The Virtually Impaired Organization, put together by her Alma mater, Queens College, Lagos, in remembrance of one of its late classmate who died many years ago.
In her strides, she also promised to assist the group in sourcing for more funds to support the blind, especially now that technology can aid their virtual challenges.
At the event to celebrate the Vintage Christmas with The Family were personalities like Former First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Abimbola Fashola, Director-General of SDGS, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Professor Toyin Ashiru, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Odein Ajumogobia among many others.
