Dami is riding the wave of online clout, but is he ready for what comes next?

Episode 3 of Under the Influence finds Dami (Iremide Adeoye) waking up to a flood of notifications —his following is growing, and “Dami 2 Fresh” is finally happening.

But before he can bask in his digital success, real life comes knocking. Ayo (Bobby Ekpe) drags him out grocery shopping, also reminding him in the process that his newfound fame and social media likes would not pay the bills. Which was why he needed him to get a job. A real job.

The hustle never stops

Meanwhile, Folarin (Dante Okere) makes his first appearance at a commercial shoot gone wrong. A clash with the stylist over his outfit pushes him to walk off-set, setting the tone for his character’s no-nonsense energy.

Oye (Isioma Okey- Nwosu), ever the hustler, keeps the grind alive. He borrows a car for a meeting —because when one route is blocked, you find another way in.

Dami, on the other hand, keeps the content rolling. His rant about Lagos’ insane rent prices hits home, drawing even more engagement from his growing audience.

The first brand deal —blessing or curse?

Then comes the real test: Ohdogwu Crypto slides into Dami’s DMs with an offer. It’s his first real influencer gig, and the deal looks promising. But while Oye pushes him to take the leap, Ayo isn’t convinced. “Nothing in life is certain but a risk,” Oye says, nudging Dami toward the deal.

Dami takes the plunge, posting a promo video for the crypto brand. His first social media paycheck lands, and just as he starts to celebrate, his phone explodes with notifications. But this time, it’s not just likes and comments.

Has Dami finally made it, or has he walked into something he can’t handle?
