Who Is Funding Fada Ebube Muonso’s Political Melodrama In Anambra State?

Since the election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in November 2021, an Uke, Idemili North-based Catholic priest vowed to be the number one enemy of the government, aspiring to ensure that Soludo’s administration is brought to its knees. It’s an open secret that Soludo priortizes prudence and service over “bazaar politics.” Is the governor getting these politically-designed tirades from the Uke-based dramatist because he refused to comply to certain untold demands? A lot is always behind the scenes. The biblical passage that says “ask and it shall be given unto you” seems to have failed the wailing priest.

Fada Ebube Muonso’s latest video clip where he openly alleged that the late Honourable Justice Azuka was kîlled because he was not an APGA member is a senseless politics taken out of a dirty and unholy conscience. Un-priestly! And for repeatedly saying things that are not pirest-like against the governor, who has remained sleepless for the sake of his people, is the height of pettiness and deliberate unintelligence. Like an opposition vulture waiting for one bad opportunity to make some political capital from, you could tell from his arrogance and body language that he is romancing with negativity. But why hasn’t Ebube Muonso talked about Governor Soludo’s exceptional leadership standards, which has made Anambra State the envy of all? Who is Fada Ebube Muonso’s sponsor? What is in for the political priest?

But I tell you again, Governor Soludo does not play politics of sentiments. What if Ebube Muonso is probably disappointed that Governor Soludo does not visit his “prayer ground” to seek spiritual directions since he became a governor. Or is the aberrant priest upset that the governor does not patronize his ministerial services? We desirously wish to know. Ebube Muonso must appear straight and tell Ndi Anambra what the real issue is. Hiding under stuttering marathons to convey his exasperation is only revealing what has become obvious.

You may have to ask why the egocentric priest never openly calls out Soludo’s predecessors who did poorly when compared with Soludo’s less than three years in office. What if the Uke-based priest is just fed up with the governor’s leadership milestones and wise refusal to go against someone who has nothing to lose? The Soludo that Ndi Anambra employed to lead them is a man who understands the wisdom of giving detractors a nightmarish silence. Ebube Muonso’s constant gaffe, where he tries to use the Anambra State Governor to build up his waning popularity and solicit followers and unsuspecting sympathizers is becoming something that should be called to questions or complete reprimand. The truth is that the frustrated priest is grazing on a minefield.

Governor Soludo is a man on a serious and determined mission. Even Fada Ebube Muonso’s understands it. But he will never admit, lest he loses the thumbs ups of his political allies. It’s 2025, and the gubernatorial election in Anambra State is just ahead. A man who capitalizes on his following to play capitalist politics will definitely try to negotiate with his flock’s number. It’s a game of interests, and the Uke priest has one in his dirty mass box.

Governor Soludo has an intelligent analogy to describe what it means to be the most glowing light on the turf. He maintains that the person with the ball in his leg gets the most tackle. But Soludo does not just have the ball solidly trapped. His four tireless eyes are ever fixated to the round leather purpose. The Anambra State governor does not believe in certain contemporary political judgements that do not concur with the basic principles of purposeful leadership. Unlike Ebube Muonso, who has adopted Soludo as his sole nightmare, the millions of Ndi Anambra, who are the biggest beneficiaries of Mr. Governor’s peerless governance, have the last opinion. The priest who enjoys undue attention knows what he is doing. But there is a limit to certain kinds of madness. Hiding behind an altar to make incendiary comments only exposes Fada Ebube Muonso’s penchant for loquaciousness.

Ebube Muonso’s biological brother, Charles Obimma, represented Oyi Constituency in the Anambra House of Assembly from 2019 to 2023. He got there with an express ticket and endorsement from powerful seats mainly because the Uke priest was very close to post-Soludo’s Amawbia. Throughout his brother’s poor political outing, the priest wined, dined, and hosted countless Sunday Masses, morning Masses, in-house prayers, family liberations, birthday Masses, name it, for the then administration. Everything he asked for was given to him without checks and balances. He saw no evil and said no evil.

The “biblical passage” manifested fully, and Ebube Muonso never held back to collect them all. Yet he never told truth to power. But then, Soludo is not a leader who wears a cloak of deceit. He is after a good name than sentimental politics. He is not a giveaway politician; the reason some profit-based political jobbers, including Ebube Muonso, do not like his leadership pattern. But it is really time for Ndi Anambra to ask the meddlesome priest his interests in Anambra politics.
