In an urban slum where hope once seemed a distant dream, Okpoko has risen—transformed, vibrant, and alive. Soludo’s return to this once-neglected urban slum today, Tuesday, will not just be a visit; it will be a celebration of resurrection from death to life, proof of the power of empathy and compassionate governance.

Once a symbol of despair, Okpoko now glimmers with the promise of renewal. The streets, once riddled with mud and choked by waste, are now completely paved with asphalt and lined with solar-powered lights. The air, once heavy with the weight of neglect, now carries the hum of progress and the laughter of children playing football in the streets.

This is the story of an urban slum reborn—a “New Heaven” risen from the ashes of hardship.

A Journey From Despair To Hope:
Soludo’s government has been the catalyst for this transformation. His administration’s commitment to inclusive development has turned Okpoko into a beacon of hope for Anambra.

• Roads Of Renewal:
19.09 kilometers of internal roads have been constructed newly, connecting neighborhoods and opening pathways to opportunity

• Solution Water (Mmili Ndu Soludo):
A reticulated clean Solution pipe-borne water has taken over the streets of Okpoko, against the unsafe and polluted water which has caused cholera in most homes in the past.
– Healthcare for All:
The first-ever General Hospital in Okpoko now stands as a lifeline for residents. It also provides free antenatal services and free delivery, including free caesarians, for pregnant mothers.

A Community United:
During this visit, Soludo will commission projects and walk the streets of Okpoko, not as a governor but as a compassionate neighbor -”makana Soludo bu onye Okpoko”. As usual, he will listen to the stories of residents, share in their joys, and reassure them of his passionate commitment to their future.

This is not just about building roads or hospitals, It is about restoring dignity, hope, and pride to a neighborhood that has endured so much. Okpoko is not just a place; it is a promise—a promise of a better today and tomorrow.

The Spirit of Okpoko:
The transformation of Okpoko is more than bricks and mortar; it is a story of a selfless leader who isn’t driven by boundaries but rather by empathy and compassion. For the first time, the residents feel seen and heard. Soludo has given them life.

The new General Hospital is not just a health facility; pregnant mothers now deliver for free, and safely, and children are treated for malaria.

A New Heaven Has Risen:
Today, the sun will set over Okpoko, and the streets will come alive with the sounds of celebration. The community, once defined by its struggles and neglects, now stands as a symbol of renewal.

Soludo’s return will not just be a celebration of progress; it is a reaffirmation of his promise to leave no one behind. In Okpoko, every road paved, every light installed, every pipe-borne water reticulated, every child being taught in public school for free, every child born in a public hospital without a fee, and every smile restored is a step toward a brighter future.

A Legacy of Hope:
Okpoko’s transformation is a testament to the power of intentional governance. Under Soludo’s government, what was once a slum is now a “New Heaven”- a place where dreams are reborn, and hope flourishes.

As the people of Okpoko gather to celebrate, their voices will rise in unison: “Soludo, the man who turned our despair into hope, who resurrected us from death to life, our slum into a new haven, is here with us!”
