It was an evening of music, laughter, and fine dining as Afrobeats sensation, Adekunle Gold hosted an exclusive private dinner to celebrate his closest industry friends and supporters in partnership with the prestigious single-malt whisky, The Macallan.

Held at Kaly Restaurant Bar & Lounge in Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday, April 26, the evening celebrated friendship, loyalty, and shared success, gathering about 20 of his closest industry friends, including Enioluwa, Falz, Kiekie, Ladipoe, Dotun, Pamilerin, Pocolee, among others.

Compered by The Macallan’s Brand Ambassador, Lagos, Daniel Atteh, the evening offered guests a luxurious culinary journey.

The three-course dinner featured goat cheese and duck salad paired with The Macallan 15 Years Double Cask, lamb shank and sea bass paired with The Macallan Rare Cask, and chocolate fondant and cheesecake paired with The Macallan Classic Cut.

Addressing guests, Atteh highlighted the significance of the collaboration between Adekunle Gold and The Macallan. He noted that whisky has a unique way of bringing people together and that The Macallan’s rich heritage, rooted in creativity and craftsmanship, made the partnership with Adekunle Gold a natural one.

“Just as it takes over a century for an oak tree to mature for The Macallan’s casks, Adekunle Gold’s journey reflects that same patience, creativity, and excellence,” Atteh said. “This partnership was about celebrating those who have crafted their journey with passion and authenticity.

Raising a toast during the evening, Adekunle Gold expressed heartfelt appreciation for the partnership and the gathering of his close friends. “I believe we must always put in the effort to show up as the best versions of ourselves, just like we have tonight,” he said. “Tonight is really about celebrating friendship, loyalty, and the journey we’re all on. I thought it would be great to bring my close friends together to share this experience.

As laughter, fine whisky, and good memories flowed through the night, the event reinforced the deep bond between creativity, craftsmanship, and community, values that both The Macallan and Adekunle Gold proudly represent.
