Businessman In Trouble For Allegedly Touching Lady’s Breast, Private Parts

A 29-year old Lagos businessman, Ahmed Ajibade has been arrested by the Police at the Maroko Division, Lekki, Lagos and dragged before a Lagos Magistrate’s Court for allegedly touching the breast and other private parts of a complainant, Miss Pedro without her consent.

Police alleged that trouble started for the defendant on 29 April, 2025 when he allegedly forced himself inside the complainant’s apartment and started touching her breast and other private parts and tried to remove her clothes without her consent.

The complainant, according to the Police, raised alarm which attracted neighbours who quickly rushed to her rescue and held the defendant.

The complainant sent a distress call to the Divisional Police Officer, DPO incharge of Maroko Division, CSP Raji Ganiyu who swiftly dispatched his men to the scene to arrest the defendant.

After investigation by Inspector Racheal Anthony and team, the defendant was charged before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court sitting at the Tinubu Magistrate’s Court, Lagos Island on a two count bordering on sexual harassment and forcible entry.

Police Counsel,  Cyriacus Osuji told the Court in the charge H/18/2025 that the defendant committed the offence at 171, Prince Oniru Ademola Street, Oniru, Lekki, Lagos.

Osuji informed the court that the defendant took the law into his hands by forcing himself inside the complainant’s apartment to touch her  breast and other private parts and tried to remove her underwear before residents came to her rescue.

He said the offences, the defendant committed were punishable under sections 264(1)(2) and 263(1)(2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The defendant, however pleaded not guilty to the charges and Chief Magistrate, Mrs Gbajumo Ayoku granted him N300,000 bail with two surties in like sum.

Ayoku adjourned the case till 7 May, 2025 for mention and ordered that the defendant be kept at the Ikoyi Correctional facility till he perfected the bail conditions.
