Man, 27, Arraigned For Allegedly Tempering With CCTV Camera & Diverting Company’s N27m Products 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened between 9th and 11th April, 2025, at the company’s office located at Kudirat Street, Ikeja, Lagos.

According to the Police, the suspect and others now at large conspired to steal the items, the company discovered and handed him over to the Police at Area F Command for interrogation.

After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.

The charges read:

Count I: “That you, Philip Ikyamba ‘M’ and others now at large between 9th and 11th of April, 2025, at MDS Logistics Nigeria Limited, at Kudirat Street, Ikeja, in the Lagos State Magisterial District, did conspire to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary and punishable under Section 411 of the criminal laws of Lagos State 2015.”

Count II:”That you, Philip Ikyamba ‘M’ on the same date time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did divert product valued N25,196,377 belonging to MDS Logistics Nigeria Limited and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 287 and punishable under Section 280 (b) of the criminal laws of Lagos State 2015.”

Count III:”That you, Philip Ikyamba ‘M’ on the same date and place in the aforementioned Magisternal District, did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause the breach of the peace by tempering with the CCTV camera of the truck and thereby committed an offence contrary and punishable under Section 168 (d) of the criminal laws of Lagos State 2015.”

However, he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
