Missed The 11th AMVCAs? Watch The Awards Event On Showmax

Following a star-studded weekend in Lagos that brought together the continent’s biggest names in film and television, Showmax has announced that the full broadcast of the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) will be available to stream on the platform from the night of Tuesday, 13 May 2025.

Audiences across the continent who missed the live broadcast or want to relive the best moments will have the opportunity to watch all the unforgettable highlights from Africa’s most prestigious celebration of film and television, including the heartfelt speeches and thrilling performances on Showmax.

The award ceremony, which was held on Saturday night in Lagos, brought together the continent’s biggest stars to celebrate the outstanding achievements in African film and television, both in front and behind the cameras.

Among the night’s standout winners were Untying Kantai, the Showmax Kenya Original, which earned Best Writing in a TV Series, and Wa Milele, the Showmax Tanzania Original, which took home the award for Best Unscripted Series.

Hosted by IK Osakioduwa, the AMVCAs once again highlighted the growing impact of African storytelling across film, television, and digital platforms.
