MoMo’s Refer & Win Promo Hits 8th Week, 66 Winners Celebrate Life-Changing Prizes

Posted on June 1, 2025

MoMo PSB, the digital financial services subsidiary of MTN Nigeria, has reached a major milestone in its ongoing Refer & Win Promo, now in its eighth week.

The campaign, designed to reward customer loyalty and promote financial inclusion, has already produced 66 winners-six grand prize recipients and 60 consolation prize winners.

The highly anticipated promo, which runs for 12 weeks from April 3 to June 25, 2025, offers participants the chance to win free airtime or data for up to 50 years.

Each week, lucky customers are selected through an electronic draw, with qualifying transactions and referrals boosting their chances of winning.

Among the six grand prize winners so far are individuals from Akure, Lagos and Bauchi, whose lives have been transformed by the unexpected windfall. Olajesu Oluwatobi, based in Akure, expressed his excitement: “When I got the call that I had won, I was really happy. The fact that I won’t be paying a dime for the next 50 years is a lot. Everyone has to get involved. This is real. If I can win, you can too.”

Ajibosin Abdulramon, a winner in Lagos, described his win as “life-changing”, saying, “With the price of everything in Lagos increasing, every little bit helps.”

In addition to the grand prize winners, 60 customers have received consolation prizes of airtime or data, valid for one year. The promo is open to both new and existing customers who perform eligible transactions and refer friends or family to open or reactivate MoMo accounts.

MoMo PSB’s CEO, Phrase Lubega, reaffirmed the company’s commitment: “With Refer & Win, we are rewarding loyalty and making digital transactions more rewarding for everyone. We want every Nigerian to experience the convenience and benefits of MoMo.”

The Refer & Win Promo continues to drive excitement nationwide, with weekly draws held every Thursday at 4.30pm on MoMo PSB’s YouTube channel and ongoing activations. As the campaign enters its eighth week, more Nigerians are encouraged to participate for a chance to win life-changing prizes.
