Woman, 41, Arraigned For Swindling Remedial Health Solution Of N8m

A 41-year old woman, Gbadebo Oluwakemi, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly swindling Remedial Health solution to the tune of N8m by converting their money to her own personal use.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened between 2022 and 2024 at the company’s office located at Abisogun Leigh, Ogba, Lagos.
According to the Police, the suspect and others now at large conspired and collected the money but did not remit it to the company’s account.
However, the alleged scam got exposed after the company conducted an internal audit and discovered that the suspect converted the money to her own use without the consent of the company.
The matter was reported to the Police at Area G Command, Ogba. The operatives moved into action, arrested the suspect and detained her at the Command for interrogation over her alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found her culpable and consequently charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
COUNT I: “That you, Gbadebo Oluwakemi ‘f’, and others still at large between the year 2022 to 2024 at Remedial Health solution located at No. 35, Abisogun Leigh, Ogba, Lagos State in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did conspire together to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal law, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT II:-“That you, Gbadebo Oluwakemi ‘f’ and others at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial district, did steal the sum of (N8,800,000.00) eight million eight hundred thousand Naira, property of Remedial Health Solution by converting same to you own use and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A.Owolabi, granted her bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
