Lagos Police Recovers Over 100 Assorted Exotic Vehicles Worth Over N2b During Sting Operation

The security architecture put in place by the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State Command, CP Jimoh Moshood, is yielding results following the recovery of over 100 stolen assorted exotic vehicles worth over N2b during coordinated sting operations across the State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the Police boss during a press briefing at the Command’s headquarters in Ikeja.
The CP explained that 30 of the vehicles mainly SUVs, were parked at Lagos State Command and 70 were parked at the Ikorodu area of the State due to lack of space at the Command.
He also commended the efforts of the the Police officers and members of the public for their collaboration with the Police in Lagos State which is yielding results from successful operations in the State.

CP Jimoh stated, “Through diligent intelligence gathering, coordinated tactical operations, and public and community collaboration, the Command has successfully recovered a total of thirty-six (36) vehicles including 70 parked at Ikorodu, inked to a range of criminal activities. These vehicles were recovered in the various parts of Lagos State and are connected to the following offenses:
• Fraudulent acts and advance fee fraud
• Vehicles snatched at gunpoint in other states
• Cars stolen from abroad and smuggled into Nigeria
• Vehicles criminally diverted by drivers entrusted with them”.
He further stated:”I gladly welcome you to today’s press briefing to showcase achievements recorded by the Lagos State Police Command in crime prevention, control and management throughout Lagos State.”
“When I came on board as the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, new crime prevention strategies and tactics were put in place and implemented to turn around the operations modalities of the Command for rprompt prevention and detection of crimes and criminality throughout Lagos State, to ensure adequate safety of lives and properties of all Lagosians and ensure that the huge investments of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Lagos State Government and that of local and foreign investors are safe and secure for commercial business and activities to thrive unhindered across the state.”
“Before the details, let me most respectfully appreciate the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for providing the Lagos State Police Command with state of the art crime combating equipment, technology and other logistics leading to this success stories. It is also pertinent to loudly underscore the continuous logistics and day to day operational supports provided for the Lagos State Police Command by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, that have made the job of securing Lagos State much more easier and have further reduced our response time to distress calls.”
“Furthermore, I also wish to happily appreciate and commend all public spirited individuals and Lagosians generally, whose timely information and credible intelligence have led to the success for the Command. All Police officers that participated in the Speed, Silence and Surprise operations of the Command are equally appreciated. I hereby wish to encourage them to keep up the good work and continue to increase the trust, confidence that the Lagos State Government and the good people of Lagos State has continually reposed in the Police in the state.”
CP Jimoh Moshood also invited the members of the public whose vehicles were stolen to come to the Command and identify their vehicles with evidence of prove of ownership.
The Police also arrested other criminals elements for various crimes and recovered arms and ammunition during the period in view.
