2 Women Docked For Coded Prostitution

Two women, Agnes Edet, 32 and Joy Bassey, 35 have been arrested for coded prostitution in Lagos.

Also arrested were three men, Abiodu Balogun, Kabiru Rufai and Abiodu Peter for their alleged involvement in the coded prostitution by the two women suspects while others were said to be at large.

The incident happened at Agbado Ijaiye area of Lagos where the male suspects provided an illegal place where Edet and Bassey were using as corporate sex workers.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the arrest of the suspects followed complaints by the residents to the Police at Area G Command, Ogba over their activities in the area.

It was gathered the women pretended that they were not sex workers, but in actual fact they do collect money and offer sex on demand through the male suspects.

Their kind of business it was gathered was to provide space for men who were sex starved and were ashamed to go a brothel to patronise sex workers. The three men were the negotiators between the clients and the women, and they collect their commission after an agreement had been reached.

They were charged before Ogba Magistrates court for misdemeanor and running coded prostitution.

They pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. A.A. Fashola granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with one sureties in like sum
They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 14 February, 2018.
