APGA’s Political Conclave
Posted on July 22, 2025

The whole APGA this, APGA that from a few social media analysts is characteristic of political brigandage, and I will tell you why. No aspirant was promised the ticket neither was there any aspirant who was coerced into stepping down. Spending in anyway they did in the course of their political consultations remains strictly their choice that no one can question.
The now popular political conclave amongst the Aspirants was strictly a measure to discourage the unwholesome political rancors and spendings where Aspirants are fleeced of hard earned resources often to a point of insolvency. Again, none of the Aspirants objected to this, as they all participated in it and voted for the one who got the affirmation of the Party delegates.
I am not surprised that some characters, who have planned out their survival on the supposed deep pockets of some Aspirants, are crying fowl in a process the Aspirants themselves have esteemed so highly. The misinformation that the APGA candidate is unpopular is a reflection of the misnomer that tends to raise powerful individuals above strong institutions — APGA thinks differently and would always act differently.
For those spreading the rather laughable claim that Governor Soludo selected a candidate in the just concluded APGA primaries, your mischief came late and cannot in any way affect the fortunes of the Party come August 16. APGA candidates for the by-elections are credible and would rely on the strong grassroot appeal of the Party to win the elections by a landslide.
All Party faithfuls are happy that for the first time in many years, APGA has conducted a seamless primary election where the candidates have emerged through consensus and a resounding affirmative vote by the Party’s delegates from the affected wards.
Congratulations to the Candidates in advance.
