Gov. Nwifuru Is Performing Well, We’ll Re-elect Him In 2027 – Says Chief Austin Umahi
The Director-General of the Divine Mandate Campaign Council, Chief Deacon Austin Umahi, has expressed strong confidence in the re-election of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru come 2027.
Chief Umahi, who is also the former National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made this known during the All Progressives Congress (APC) Zonal Stakeholders Engagement held in Ebonyi State at the International Conference Center Abakaliki.
Speaking with assurance, Chief Umahi said, “Governor Nwifuru is sitting and sitting very well. Come 2027, we will do it again.” He described the governor’s leadership as peaceful, people centered and result oriented. According to him, the Divine Mandate Campaign Council is fully prepared to ensure the Governor’s victory once more, just like they did in 2023.
Chief Umahi praised Governor Nwifuru’s efforts in uniting the people of Ebonyi State, stating that his style of governance is “unprecedented” and worthy of support. He noted that under Nwifuru’s leadership, Ebonyi has seen stability, inclusion, and massive development.
He also dismissed any threats from political coalitions or alliances, claiming they “lack true existence” and can not challenge the strength of the APC in the state.
Furthermore, Chief Umahi called on APC members and leaders to keep working together and avoid neglecting anyone. “Every vote matters, even one vote. In democracy, nobody is unimportant. Let us carry everyone along,” he advised.
The stakeholders’ meeting, which brought together key figures from the South East APC family, served as both a review of progress made and a rallying point for future political engagements. It further demonstrated the APC’s commitment to grassroots mobilization and unity within Ebonyi State.
Governor Nwifuru, elected under the Divine Mandate platform in 2023, has been widely commended for his inclusive leadership and fulfillment of campaign promises.
