The Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) concluded its 19th annual edition last week in Abuja, drawing stakeholders from across the continent to discuss trends, challenges, and innovations shaping the future of housing and urban development in Africa.
Among the highlights of the prestigious gathering was the award and recognition evening where Mshel Homes, a leading Nigerian real estate company, was honoured with the Builders of Modern Africa New Homes award.
This recognition celebrates Mshel Homes’ bold contributions to residential development, its forward-thinking approach to housing design, and unwavering commitment to quality and credibility in the real estate sector.
Representing Mshel Homes at the event was a whole delegation of its leadership and management team, who have played a pivotal role in the company’s recent success and the rollout of standout projects like Hutu Exclusive, a premium residential estate along the Airport Road.
“This award is a reaffirmation of our mission to deliver more quality housing units, functional, well-designed, and future-ready homes that reflect the aspirations and desires of modern Africans,” said Arc. Dr. Barka U Mshelia, the GMD/CEO of Mshel Homes in a statement after receiving the award.
The Africa International Housing Show is widely regarded as the most significant housing and construction event in Sub-saharan Africa, featuring panel sessions, discussions around housing, exhibitions, and strategic policy. It brought together developers, investors, architects, government agencies, and financial institutions from over 20 countries.
Mshel Homes’ recognition at this year’s show underscores its growing influence in Africa’s property market and its focus on ethical development, legal integrity, and community-driven real estate planning.
