From Ships to Silent Beef: The Arcs Driving Biggie’s House This Season

Posted on August 27, 2025

In what is shaping up to be the most unpredictable season in Big Brother Naija history, the 10 over 10 season has delivered unforgettable drama alongside an ever-shifting ranking of contestants’ popularity.

This is unlike previous seasons where winners could be guessed within the first few weeks. With Victory and Gigi Jasmine being the latest evictees, we’ve witnessed the close of a storyline that had us angry, glued to our seats, and at times borderline embarrassed.

Beyond this arc, here are five other storylines keeping the season afloat for newcomers to follow on Showmax.

  • Dede & Her Fishes – Kola, Koyin & Jason Jae

Every season, there’s always that one love triangle that has everyone invested; this time it’s a love square. Dede, despite being in a relationship outside the house, has found herself surrounded by a ‘‘herd of men’’ seeking her attention. They refuse to accept her reality, making her the target of relentless pursuit.

Kola started spiraling after she refused to hug him on their first night and hasn’t moved on since. Jason Jae expects far too much from her as a “friend” while entertaining other ladies who dislike her. Meanwhile, Koyin insists he only sees her platonically, but does anyone actually believe that? Absolutely not.

  • Dede & The Girls

Because of her proximity to the men, some of the women – Sultana, Doris, and Big Soso – have outrightly expressed their displeasure with the situation.

From all indications Dede is not romantically involved with the men in question. The drama around the relationships simply entertains us.

  • Denari’s Betrayal

At one point, it seemed we had our first genuine relationship of the season. We were so wrong. Denari, who has now openly admitted he is only in the house for “sex,” fooled everyone into thinking he was truly getting to know Doris.

Doris, already head over heels, is heading for a rude awakening when she learns what he has said about her behind her back. This season, the lovers and shippers are really taking a hit.

  • Imisi, Isabella And The Kitchen Watchers

At least once a day, there’s a fight about the kitchen—maintenance, cooking, or just plain control. At the centre of it all are Imisi and Isabella, the two housemates who insist on cooking individually.

These standoffs have already sparked some of the season’s most dramatic outbursts. With Kaybobo taking kitchen duties personally, Rooboy raging against perceived wastage, and Imisi and Isabella refusing to conform, we’re in for a long season of food fights.

  • Bright Morgan & Mide’s Confusionship

In previous seasons, housemates in outside relationships at least tried to hide them. Not this time. Bright Morgan has repeatedly said he has a girlfriend, yet is now openly booed up with Mide.

While they seem like the perfect couple, cracks are showing as Mide suspects Bright is playing games. But really, what do you expect from someone cheating on their partner with you?

The chaos doesn’t stop here. This season is packed with too many interwoven arcs to unpack in a single sitting. Catch all these moments from Weeks 1–4 on Showmax, and stream the show 24/7.
