Man, 50, Docked For Killing Woman & Cutting Her Corpse Into Pieces

The Police at the Homicide Unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, have arrested a 50-year old man, Hammed Yusuf Khalifa, for allegedly killing a woman, identified as Noimot a.k.a Crown and cutting her corpse into pieces in Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 18th July, 2025, at Saka Babatunde Street, Offin Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect unlawfully killed the victim and thereafter dismembered the corpse by cutting the body into pieces.
However, the information leaked and he was arrested by the Police in the area and transferred to SCID at Yaba for further investigation.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Yaba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
However, the Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Thomas Nurudeen, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.I.O. Alaka, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.
The charges read:
“That you, HAMMED YUSUF KHALIFAT ‘M’ and one other at large, on the 18 day of July, 2025, at about 0330hrs, at. No. 10, Saka Babatunde Street, Offin Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos State, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit MURDER and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 233 and punishable under Section 233 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, HAMMED YUSUF KHALIFAT ‘M’ and one other at large, on the 18th day of July, 2025, at about 0330hrs, at No. 10, Saka Babatunde Street, Offin Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos State, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully kill one NOIMOT (A.K.A. CROWN) ‘F’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 222 and punishable under Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.”
COUNT III:-“That you, HAMMED YUSUF KHALIFAT ‘M’ and one other at large, on the 18th day of July, 2025, at about 0330hrs, at No. 10, Saka Babatunde Street, Offin Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos State, In the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully kill one NOIΜΟΤ (Α.Κ.Α. CROWN) ‘F’ and thereafter, dismembered the corpse and cut the body into pieces, which is a disrespect / disregard to the corpse and thereby, committed an offence punishable under Section 165(a)(b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
