3 Men Arrested For Stealing Condoms & Drinks At Reno Super Store

Police operatives from the Lagos State Command have arrested three men, Adaramola Jerry, 23, Saviour Samuel, 22 and Juwon Adebola, 23, for allegedly stealing packs of condoms and drinks worth over N3m at Reno Super Store. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 22nd August, 2025, about 1630hrs, at Reno Super Store located at Idimu Road, Ejigbo area of Lagos.

 

According to the Police, the suspects went to the store, stole the items and when they tried to escape, they were apprehended by the security men on duty and handed over to the Police at Ejigbo Division for interrogation over their alleged conduct.

 

After interrogation, the Police found them culpable and charged them before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

The charges read:

“That you, Adaramola Jerry ‘m’, Saviour Samuel ‘m’ and Juwon Adebola, on the 22 August, 2025, about 1630hrs, at Reno Super Store, Idimu, Road, Ejigbo, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

Count II:”That you, Adaramola Jerry ‘m’, Saviour Samuel ‘m’ and Juwon Adebola, on the same date, time and place, in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did steal one Hennessy VSOP drink valued N110,500.00, Condom male pant valued N7,500.00, other wines valued Three Million Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N3,200,000.00) and Action bitter drink valued yet unknown, property of Reno Super Store, Idimu Road, Ejigbo and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

However, they pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.A. Popoola, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
