Man, 57, Arraigned For Allegedly Stealing Tricycle Worth N3m At Filing Station

A 57-year old man, Sheu Ado, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly stealing a tricycle worth N3m, which was parked inside a filing station.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect has been arrested and charged for allegedly stealing the TVS tricycle with Reg No. EPE334QM valued N3,000,000.00, property of one Chukwuma Obhagah.
The incident happened on 18th August, 2025, at Shadel Filling Station, Ejigbo, Lagos.
According to the Police, the suspect went where the tricycle was parked by the complainant, took it away and was trying to escape before he was apprehended.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ejigbo Division. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Sheu Ado ‘m’, on the 18th August, 2025, at about 0710hrs, at Shadel Filling Station, Ejigbo, Lagos State, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did steal one TVS Tricycle with Reg No. EPE334QM valued N3,000,000.00, property of one Chukwuma Obhagah ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 287 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, he pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.A. Popoola, granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect their bail conditions.
