The Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS) 94/99 Set of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, in partnership with After God’s Heart Incorporated (AGH), announce the completion and upcoming inauguration of a multi-million naira Mini Community Library, dedicated to serving students and residents of Abeokuta North Local Government Area.

The Mini Community Library, located within Abeokuta North LGA, is designed as a student-friendly learning hub equipped with reading desks, shelves, study materials, reference books and other essential educational tools.

The facility is established to bridge learning gaps, promote reading culture, and provide students with a safe, conducive environment for academic development sponsored by After God’s Heart Incorporated (AGH) in collaboration with AMACOS 94/99 Set.

This initiative forms part of the Legacy Projects of the old students of MAPOLY Mass Communications Student (AMACOS) 94/99 Set, commemorating their Reunion activities themed #30YearsOfFriendshipAndTogetherness and reaffirming their commitment to educational development in Ogun State.

As part of activities lined up for their #30YearsAfter Reunion, the chairman of the Reunion Planning Committee Lady Lolade Akokhia said “our activities will include courtesy visits the Mass Communication Department of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) for the inauguration of an advertising studio and ARCON accreditation project, as well as a joint gift presentation to non-academic staff.”

She stated further that “the group will also pay a courtesy visit to the Rector of MAPOLY before attending Jumat service, visiting the Abeokuta Correctional Centre, commissioning a library project, and rounding off the day with a Reconnect & Refresh evening event”.

Activities continue on Saturday with a FunFest at the Olumo Rock, followed by the Reunion Launch and Adire Rendezvous featuring a red carpet reception, awards ceremony and swearing in of the new executives.

The reunion will conclude on Sunday with a thanksgiving service before members depart.

The three-day programme has been designed to strengthen professional bonds, reconnect old classmates, and reinforce the commitment of the AMACOS 94/99 Set to community development and educational advancement, Lady Lolade stated further.

Speaking on the Mini-Library partnership, the Chairman of AGH, Dr. D. Olawale, noted that the project is driven by a shared passion for youth empowerment and academic excellence.

“The Mini Library is designed to give students access to quality learning materials, especially as they prepare for crucial examinations such as WAEC and JAMB. We are excited to collaborate with AMACOS 94/99, an outstanding group of professionals who have demonstrated genuine commitment to supporting community growth,” he said.

The President of AMACOS 94/99, Mr. Adenekan Moruff, expressed deep gratitude to the donor-partner, AGH, and the Abeokuta North Local Government leadership for their support and bringing the idea of the Mini-Library to fruition.

“We are profoundly grateful to After God’s Heart Inc. for believing in this vision and financing a significant part of this life-changing project. We also appreciate the Abeokuta North Local Government for graciously providing the space that made this Mini Library possible.

“This partnership reflects the power of collaboration and our collective resolve to give back to the community that shaped us,” he stated.

He added that the library represents “a legacy gift from our set, one that we hope will inspire future generations and support thousands of young learners for many years to come.”
