Man, 34, Docked For Impregnating Neighbour’s Girl, 14

A 34-year old man, Oladejo Adeyemi, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly engaging his neighbour’s 14-year old girl in sex and Impregnating her in the process. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Oladejo Adeyemi, has been arrested and charged for defilement over his alleged conduct against the victim.
The incident happened on 16th September and 28th November, 2025, at  Aderinto Street, Fafuwa Estate, Lagos.
However, after the act, the victim became pregnant and she revealed that it was the suspect that repeatedly engaged her in sex romp, which led to the pregnancy.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ipaja Division. The Police operatives moved into action, arrested the suspect and detained him at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Oladejo Adeyemi ‘M’ on the 16th day of September and November 28th, 2025 at Aderinto Street, Fafuwa Estate, Lagos in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did unlawfully defile the victim, aged 14 years old by having sexual intercourse with her, which resulted to her being pregnant without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of is State of Nigeria,
However, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Mr Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
