Soludo And His Teachers!

Posted on January 5, 2026
The story of honour happens to be the hallmark of human effort, especially the teaching vocation, not money per se. Thus, those who say “the reward of teachers is in heaven” may have wrongly interpreted the concept of reward. For a Teacher, the greatest reward is to stay long enough to see your students excel by applying what you taught them in and out of the classroom. In this lies the greatest motivation for moulding lives and nurturing the unrefined.
Soludo recognizes this beat and has constantly sort to honour his Teachers from Primary and Secondary school, up to his University. He knows them by name, has a brief on their profile and reaches out where necessary. I have personally seen him host his Primary four teacher, celebrate his secondary school teachers and rever his University lecturers.
“To predict the future of any Society, look at the quality of Teachers and the quality of teaching”, these are Soludo’s deepest convictions and you see him live same out in his policies and handling of the education system. When you see what has become of Soludo and others in his time, you will no doubt accept that they were taught by the best. As a teacher, seek honour in the way your students turn out, not reward for effort in the form of materialism. Honour would make you do beyond your best, it makes you see your students not as clients, but as seeds handed down to you for cultivation.
The harvest is not always a quick-fix. However, when it comes, the fulfillment is immeasurable!
NB: In this picture, you find Soludo with his Biology and Igbo Teachers. The woman in the picture is the wife of his Igbo teacher, who herself was a French Language Teacher.
