2 Women Arraigned For Allegedly Stealing N4m Goods Inside Market

Two women, Abioye Misturah, 21 and Abioye Success Bola, 47, have been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly stealing goods worth N4m belonging to another woman, Okunola Ayoola, inside the market. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened between September and November 2025, at Ile-Epo Market, Oke-Odo, Lagos.

According to the Police, the women stole the goods within the said period before the complainant discovered what happened and reported the matter to the Police at Oke-Odo Division.
They were arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over the missing items. They were found culpable after thorough interrogation and charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
COUNT I: “That you, Abioye Misturah ‘F’ and Abioye Success Bola ‘F’ between September and November 2025, at Ile-Epo Market, Oke-Odo, Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit: stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Abioye Misturah ‘F’ and Abioye Success Bola ‘F’ on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did steal the sum of Four Million Naira only (N 4,000,000:00) property of one Okunola Ayoola ‘F’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 (1) (a) & (b) and punishable under Section 287 (7) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State Nigeria, 2015.”
However, they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Philip Ademigbuji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
