CJN To Swear-in Newly Appointed Federal High Court Judges Wednesday

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun will, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, swear-in the newly appointed Federal High Court Judges.
A statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Dr. Festus Akande on Monday said, the ceremony which is scheduled to take place in courtroom two of the Supreme Court, Abuja, will commence at 10:00 am. prompt.
According to the statement, “Members of the public, particularly the Bench, the Bar, Media Organisations and other stakeholders are cordially invited to witness this solemn occasion.
“Strict adherence to the dress code and security protocols is required for entry into the courtroom.
“The Supreme Court of Nigeria appreciates the continued support and cooperation of all stakeholders in the justice sector as we work together to strengthen the administration of justice in our nation”.
It would be recalled that, the National Judicial Council (NJC), on January 22, 2026 recommended 14 candidates to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointment as Judges of the Federal High Court.
Council at its 110th Meeting held on 13 and 14 January 2026, presided over by the CJN.
According to a statement by the Deputy Director Information of the NJC, Mrs Kemi Babalola-Ogedengbe, Esq. the 14 successful candidates recommended to the President are, Suleiman, Amida Hassan; Muhammad, Barau Saidu; Igboko, Chinelo Conchita; Onuegbu, Chioma Angela; Galumje, Edingah, Ibrahim; Vera Eneabo and Abubakar, Musa Usman.
Others are Salihu, Aisha Yunusa; Ikpeme, Joy Bassey; Shehu, Umaru Adamu; Mohammed, Ibrahim Buba; Eigege-Binjin, Nendelmum Judith; Usoro, Kuyik Uduak and Nwoye, Osinachi Donatus.
