Ojoto Town Union Refutes Purported Dumping Of Oba Ojoto For Ohanaeze Presidency

Eight communities including Ezema in Ojoto town, known as Akanasota Union (OAU) in Anambra State, have refuted dumping Chief Leonard Okafor for Ohanaeze Presidency in Lagos State.
This was contained in a letter sent to media houses with the caption: Letter of Refutal and Expression of Displeasure addressed to Chief Emmanuel Ubah (Otunba Ojoto) over publication on the social media.
The letter dated 23rd March, 2026, which was signed by High Chief Barrister Ernest Obunadike, President General and Hon  Comrade Donkatchy Chimbiko Onu, Secretary General respectively stated:
“Dear Mr. Emmanuel Ubah,
We write to strongly refute your 23rd March, 2026 publication in PM News Lagos titled: Ezema Community Endorses Chief Emma Ubah For President, in which you claimed also that the Ojoto community has abandoned Chief Leo Okafor (Oba Ojoto) and endorsed your candidacy for the election of the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State.
We state unequivocally that no such action has been taken by the Ojoto community, and we consider the claim both misleading and irresponsible.
The Ojato community remains committed to unity, due process, and respect for constituted authority.
While every indigene of Ojoto has the right to participate in any legitimate electoral process, including that of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Ndigbo, Lagos State, provided provided they meet the stipulated requirements, such participation must not be misrepresented or used to create division within the community.”
In light of the above, we strongly advise you to desist from making such unfounded and inflammatory publications, instead focus your efforts on adhering to the principles and guidelines governing the Ohanaeze Ndigbo electoral process.”
Please be informed that Chief Loe Okafor (Oba Ojoto) is a distinguished son of Ojoto, who has made significant contributions to the development and overall wellbeing of the community. Accordingly, we will not tolerate any attempts to defame or undermine his reputation and character.”
We trust you will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves.
