2 Women Docked For Abducting Girl, 13

Police operatives from the Lagos State Command have arrested two women, 
Funke Aire, 50, and Divine Richard, 27, for allegedly abducting a 13-year old girl for undisclosed purposes. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 12th March, 2026, at about 9:23 p.m, at Agbomimo by First Storey Building, Badagry, Lagos.
The prosecutor, ASP. Edet Ekpo told the Court that the defendants committed the
alleged offence by allegedly conspiring to abduct the girl without her parents’ consent.
Supol Ekpo said that the defendants were eventually apprehended by some people who handed them over to the Police for prosecution.
The defendants were charged for conspiracy and abduction, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The prosecutor told the Court that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 268  and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
However, they pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Chief Magistrate, Mr. Nurudeen Layeni, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties each in like sum. He ordered that one of the sureties must be a company director or a community leader.
The matter was adjourned till 23rd April, 2026, for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the the correctional center pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
