Women Group Applauds Olukoyede, Seeks Collaboration In Fight Against Corruption

The President, Women Community in Africa, WCA, Dr. Khadijah Abdullahi Iya has commended the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede for his focused and impactful efforts in tackling economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption.
She gave the commendation in Abuja on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 while on a courtesy visit to the EFCC’s boss at the Corporate Headquarters of the Commission.
Iya, who came with her team, appreciated the onerous efforts involved in the fight against corruption and stressed that “we are seeing the good results of your works and will be ready to collaborate with the Commission in fighting corrupt practices”.
She spoke further on the strides of WCA across Africa through its yearly summit and periodic retreats where issues of literacy, leadership, involvement of women in governance and empowerment are discussed.
She went ahead to assure Olukoyede that her Community would always be ready to work more functionally with the EFCC.

Responding, Olukoyede affirmed the significance of advocacy works of women groups stressing that women play crucial roles in building the society.
He expressed readiness to work with WCA and related groups in breaking the yoke of corruption.
“We will collaborate with women to fight corruption. Women play crucial roles in children development and impartation of values. These roles are imperative and we will encourage our women to be more forthcoming in this regard,” he said.
