Man, 26, Docked For Forcefully Engaging House Maid, 15, In Sex

A 26-year old man, Ifeanyi Eze, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly jumping through the fence and forcefully engaging a 15-year old house maid in sex.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 23rd March, 2026, at  Ojo-Igbede Road, by Alubarika Bus Stop, Ajangbadi Lagos, where the victim was engaged as house help.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ilembe Hausa Division. The Police operatives then moved into action, arrested the suspect and transferred him to the Gender Section of the State Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
According to the complainant, one Jane Ojiakor ‘f on behalf of her house help, the suspect, Ifeanyi Eze of No. 28, Ojo Igbede Road, by Alubarika Bus Stop, Ajangbadi Lagos, jumped into her compound through the fence on the 23rd of March, 2026, at about 1200hours and forcefully had unlawful canal knowledge of her house help.
After investigation, the Police found the defendant culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Ifeanyi Eze ‘m’, on the 23rd day of March 2026, at about 200hours, at No. 298, Ojo-Igbede Road, by Alubarika Bus Stop, Ajangbadi Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did defile the victim ‘f’ 15years old by having sexual intercourse with her and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
