Local Councils In Lagos Begin Chase For Honours As 3rd FFF U-17 Unity Cup Tourney Kicks Off 9 June

The stage is now set for the commencement of the 3rd edition of the Fans For Fun (FFF) Under 17 Unity Cup football Tourney among Local Governments and Local Councils Development Areas in Lagos State.

All the nine participating Local Government teams have been divided into two groups.
In Group A with venue at the New Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle are Ajeromi Ifelodun, Yaba, Amuwo Odofin, Surulere and Ifelodun.

In Group B with venue at Inspire Pitch, Oshodi are Igando Ikotun, Onigbongbo, Ifako Ijaiye and Bariga.

Ifako Ijaiye will take on Igando Ikotun in the first match of the tournament on Tuesday, June 9 at the Inspire Pitch, Oshodi by 9am.

In the second match of the day and at the same venue, Bariga will trade tackles with Onigbongbo by 10.30am.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the tournament, Mr. Olatunbosun Akande said all hands are on deck for a successful organisation of the tournament.

Akande said: “We have put in place machinery for a successful Organisation of the tournament and we are ready to go.

“The match officials from the Lagos State Referees Council are fully ready as well as the medical personnel”, he said.
