The Ogba Magistrate Court in Lagos is set for an unprecedented security lockdown ahead of the highly anticipated criminal trial involving popular TikTok personality, Ademola Abiodun, widely known as DJ Chicken.
Court officials dropped reliable hints over the weekend indicating that law enforcement agencies are making elite security arrangements for the upcoming hearing.
The heightened protocols are due to the expected physical appearance of the complainant, Seyi Tinubu, who is the son of the President.
Seyi Tinubu is slated to step into the witness box to testify as a key prosecution witness regarding the cyber-offensive violations.
The case follows a controversial video posted online by the internet celebrity concerning the upcoming 2027 elections.
The Police, subsequent to an investigation, filed a three-count criminal charge against the content creator.
The charges include a direct threat to life under Section 232 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.
Additionally, the defendant faces charges under Section 24 of the Cybercrime Act.
Presiding Magistrate, M.F. Onamusi, had previously granted the defendant a ₦1 million bail with strict terms.
The bail conditions require two sureties, including a blood relative and a civil servant.
However, DJ Chicken remains remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre as his legal team races to perfect those conditions.
Security personnel are expected to cordone off key access points around the premises on August 3 to maintain public order.
