Posted on July 31, 2026

Multiple award-winning broadcast journalist, media strategist, and humanitarian Sean Polotee has announced plans to officially unveil his long-anticipated online radio platform, MÁÁGBỌ̀N FM, on September 18, 2026.

This will mark a significant milestone in Sean Polotee’s decades long commitment to using the media as a tool for social transformation and youth development.

Renowned for his immense contributions to broadcasting, community development, and humanitarian initiatives, Sean Polotee has built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s respected voices in the media industry.

Over the years, his influence has transcended traditional broadcasting, inspiring countless young people through advocacy, mentorship, and impactful storytelling.

Speaking on this new project, Sean Polotee said: “The new radio brand, MÁÁGBỌ̀N FM, is more than just another online radio station. It is a purpose driven platform conceived to educate, inspire, entertain, and empower Nigerians, particularly the younger generation.

“The name “MÁÁGBỌ̀N,” a Yoruba expression meaning “Don’t Shake,” embodies the philosophy behind the station.

“It is a message of resilience, courage, hope, and unwavering determination, encouraging individuals not to give up regardless of life’s challenges or the nation’s socio-economic realities.”

On the vision behind the project, Sean Polotee explained that MÁÁGBỌ̀N FM is being established as an online radio station with a long-term ambition of operating as a fully licensed urban radio station upon securing approval from the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

According to him, the station will champion programmes designed to encourage young Nigerians to discover and develop their innate talents, embrace entrepreneurship and innovation, reject drug abuse and other social vices, and become self-reliant contributors to society rather than depending solely on government for survival.

Beyond broadcasting, MÁÁGBỌ̀N FM is an extension of Sean Polotee’s advocacy movement known as MÁÁGBỌ̀N, a campaign that has continued to inspire thousands with a simple but powerful message: “Don’t Shake.”

The movement seeks to instill confidence, resilience, and purpose in people from all walks of life, reminding them that they can become whoever and whatever they aspire to be through determination, discipline, and hard work.

The station also intends to identify exceptional talents across various sectors, create opportunities for their growth, and build an ecosystem that government agencies, private organisations, investors, and development partners can proudly support.

Industry observers believe the launch of MÁÁGBỌ̀N FM represents another bold chapter in Sean Polotee’s enduring legacy of using media as a catalyst for positive change.

Having spent decades influencing public discourse and championing humanitarian causes, the veteran broadcaster remains committed to shaping a generation of responsible leaders, innovators, and nation builders.

The official unveiling of MÁÁGBỌ̀N FM is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, and is expected to attract distinguished personalities from government, the media, the corporate sector, traditional institutions, youth organisations, and the creative industry.

As anticipation continues to build, Sean Polotee maintains that the mission of MÁÁGBỌ̀N FM is clear: “Don’t Shake. Believe in yourself. Discover your talent. Build your future. The future belongs to those who refuse to give up.”
