The school infrastructure project forms part of the broader objective of the Maltina Teacher of the Year initiative, which recognises outstanding educators while extending the benefits of their achievements to students and school communities.

The Digital Learning Center, built by the NB-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund, is equipped with computers, internet connectivity, a smart screen, computer-based testing (CBT) facilities, digital learning and assessment tools, and a 10KVA solar-powered inverter system.

According to the Head of Public, External and Government Affairs, NB Plc, Chukwuemeka Aniukwu, the project reflects the Trust Fund’s commitment to extending the impact of the Maltina Teacher of the Year award beyond the recognition of individual teachers to delivering lasting benefits to their schools and communities.

We want to ensure that their achievements translate into lasting benefits for their schools and communities. By investing in digital learning, we are creating more opportunities for students to access technology-enabled education,” he said.
