DStv Places TLC, Discovery Family and Investigation Discovery Now In HD
Fans of the hugely entertaining and educative Discovery channels on DStv now have the opportunity of watching their favorite shows in High Definition (HD), bringing to them bigger and clearer pictures.
From Monday 21 May, TLC (channel 135), Discovery Family (channel 121) and Investigation Discovery (channel 171) will be available in HD, boosting the viewing experience for TLC OMG lovers, ID crime suspense fans, and Discovery Family magic shows followers across Africa. The three channels will join Discovery Channel, which is also available in HD.

Showcasing the best in meaningful entertainment and reality shows, this June, TLC will premiere shows such as Thando Bares All (Saturday, 2 June at 21.00CAT) – a new local series which sees South African actress, radio DJ and television host, Thando Thabethe’s sassy, straight-talking style and charismatic personality encourage people to ‘open up’ and be honest about things they might otherwise be embarrassed to talk about.
Honey Boo Boo’s mum, June Shannon AKA “Mama June” returns with all new Mama June: From Not Too Hot (Tuesday 12 June at 8:00 CAT).
On Investigation Discovery, a new series, The Golden State Killer, It’s Not Over (Thursday 24 May at 21.55 CAT), follows the decades-long case of the real-life bogeyman who stalked the night across four major Californian cities, assaulting over 50 women and killing at least 10 people.
Lastly, on Discovery Family’s Strange Evidence (Wednesday 6 June at 19:20 CAT), experts from across all fields of science analyze video footage to discover the truth behind some of the world’s most bizarre and mysterious occurrences ever recorded on camera.
