Hi-Life Fest Train Berths In Enugu For Grand Finale

After, successfully, holding in seven cities, over a three month period, delighting thousands of music fans and creating opportunities for several upcoming Igbo highlife music talents, Life Continental Lager Beer’s HiLife Fest train is making a final stop in Enugu State this Saturday, June 2.

The journey kicked off in Aba March 18 and has already been to Owerri, Abakaliki, Asaba, Nsukka and Port Harcourt, picking up talented highlife musicians and cultural dancers on the way.

Enugu, the train’s final destination and grand finale of the annual musical talent hunt, holds lots of promises for the determined contestants who have gone through drilling mentorship sessions over the three month period.

According to the Portfolio Manager – Mainstream Lager and Stout Brands, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Emmanuel Agu, “Hi-Life Fest was created to celebrate and honour the Igbo’s culture of progress through highlife music.

Life Continental Lager Beer is a brand that deeply rooted in culture and is Igbo’s partner in the journey to progress.”

Among millennials, Life Continental Lager Beer is committed to sustaining the culture of highlife music, one of the most viable media of addressing social issues and communicating cultural values.

The reigning king from the maiden edition, Chibest David, who won N1million and a recording deal, while recounting his experience from last year said “being a part of the competition was a wonderful journey for me and winning the contest encouraged me to do more for myself… Life Continental Beer has authenticated my talent and I am thankful.”

The grand finale of the HiLife Fest will be holding at the famous Polo Park in Enugu State.

Five contestants and four dance groups will be competing in the highlife music and cultural dance category respectively for N2,000,000 each.

The first and second runners up will also be going home with N500,000 and N400,000 respectively.
