Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has warned his players that it is a must that Nigeria take away three points from the match against Algeria in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on 12 November.

The team have begun training ahead of the cracker against the Desert Foxes of Algeria at the practice pitch of the Abuja National Stadium.

The first training session starts Tuesday in the morning, while they also trained in the evening.

Eagles’ manager warned his players that the Desert Foxes will be coming to shock them in Uyo, but they should not be complacent as it is a must for Nigeria to pick the maximum points at home.

“Algeria will come to Uyo very well prepared against us. So mathematically, it was a good operation for us that we won in Ndola and we are the only teams that have three points after the first round of matches, ” the German tactician said.

Meanwhile, six players are still being expected at the camp in Abuja. The players are Captain John Obi Mikel; his assistant, Ahmed Musa; and defender Elderson Echiejile.

Others are Portugal-based duo of Dele Alampasu and Oghenekaro Etebo as well as Shehu Abdulahi.
