N150m Products Disappear At Pharmaceutical Company

 Police detectives in Lagos, Nigeria, have commenced an investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to the disappearance of finished products worth over N150m belonging to Green Life Pharmaceutical company warehouse  in Isolo, Lagos.
Five company workers have been arrested and detained at Aswani police division where they are explaining how the products disappeared without any burglary incident.
Sources at the company gave the names of the arrested workers as Nsemeke Samuel, Cyril Ejim, Adeoye Segun, Christopher Fregene and Enyinna Daniel.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the theft was discovered after the management embarked on internal auditing of the company’s products.
Our correspondent learnt that the police suspect conspiracy among the company workers to have successfully carried out the act.
Police sources said the products could not have vanished without the knowledge of some senior staff and security guards in the company.
When our correspondent visited Aswani police division in Isolo where the suspects were detained, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, was not around to comment on the incident.
However, the suspects were seen entering a police vehicle on their way to SCIID, Panti, Yaba.
On inquiry, the source said the matter has been transferred to SCIID for further investigation following the directive of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni.
When our correspondent visited the company, one of the staff confirmed the incident and expressed surprise about how it happened.
