Falz, Adesua Etomi To Host The Headies 2016

The duo of multiple awards winning rapper and actress, Falz TheBahdGuy and Adesuwa Etomi have been announced as hosts of the Headies 2016 by the organisers.
The organisers, Smooth Promotions, in a post on social media on Friday said both Falz -rapper and actor; and Adesua, AMVCA 2016 Best Actress- were chosen for their prowess and rare creativity which is in tandem with the theme of this year’s event ‘create, think, recreate.’
The choice of the two star performers will be keeping the Headies’ long tradition of pairing top entertainers.
Those paired in the past include Basketmouth and Toke Makinwa in 2014; Tiwa Savage and Dr Sid in 2013; M.I Abaga and Omawumi in 2012; Rita Dominic and Eldee in 2011; Banky W and Kemi Adetiba in 2009; Basketmouth and Dakore Egbuson in 2008 and D’Banj and Tana Adelana in 2007.
The award organisers had last last week released the 2016 nominees list which sparked controversy on social media.
In the nominees list released, R&B new phenomenon Kiss Daniel topped with five nominations.
The Headies was established in 2006 and originally called the Hip Hop World Awards.
