Lagos Open Tennis Celebrates Indian Jennifer Luikham At 19

A surprised birthday celebration was organised for an Indian player taking part in the ongoing Lagos Open Tennis 2018.
The player, Jennifer Luikham is one of several foreign players featuring in this year’s Lagos Open Tennis, formerly known as Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan.
Luikham was born on 3 October 1999. The right handed (double handed backhand) started playing tennis at age of seven.
The Tournament Director, Prince Wale Oladunjoye said that celebrating the birthday of Luikham would be the first time the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Lagos Open Tennis would celebrate a player during the tournament.
Luikham with her mother who followed her down to Lagos was happy with the hands of friendship from the organisers.
Tiffany William, Nigerian born British player sang songs to celebrate the Indian player in the presence of other players participating in the Lagos Open Tennis.
The Secretary of Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), Mrs Mariam Akande and former Commissioner for Sports in Lagos State, Mr. Segun Dawodu among other people were present at the brief ceremony held at the bar of the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club.
